Abstract

In recent years, cooperative work has been gaining strength, prevailing over competitiveness. Today there are many institutions that develop cooperative activities obtaining great benefits not only academically, but also in school and emotional coexistence; hence the importance of developing the research called "Cooperative work as a playful strategy to improve school coexistence". This qualitative research was carried out at the IED Jacqueline Kennedy in the city of Santa Marta and had the participation of 35 students of grade 5, parents, teachers and directors of the same institution. For this purpose, participatory action research was used through four phases (awareness phase, diagnostic phase, intervention phases and closing phase) where a series of instruments and playful workshops were applied whose results would help identify the effectiveness or benefits of cooperative work in school coexistence, it was concluded that when students work cooperatively and in a playful way they have fun, feel valued, support each other, strengthen their skills and achieve better educational results.
